Lorsque mes parents se sont install\u00e9s en Californie, ils ont ouvert le Bangkok Market, l\u2019un des premiers march\u00e9s tha\u00eflandais du pays, puis le restaurant Royal Thai \u00e0 Los Angeles. J\u2019ai grandi dans cet environnement. J\u2019ai travaill\u00e9 dans le magasin et dans le restaurant, du bas jusqu\u2019en haut de l\u2019\u00e9chelle. J\u2019ai toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 entour\u00e9 de nourriture asiatique , des nouilles \u00e0 la citronnelle en passant par les piments et les \u00e9pices sp\u00e9ciales. Je suis tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par les techniques anciennes et par la mani\u00e8re dont on peut les transposer \u00e0 notre \u00e9poque.<\/p><p>Je respecte le lien entre le pass\u00e9 et le pr\u00e9sent, l\u2019ancien et le nouveau monde. J\u2019aime raconter mon histoire et mes origines \u00e0 travers ma cuisine. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs dans cette optique que j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 partager les saveurs de l\u2019Asie \u00e0 travers l\u2019enseignement. Au moment o\u00f9 l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la cuisine tha\u00eflandaise grandissait, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 enseigner \u00e0 des clients comment cuisiner le Pad Tha\u00ef et d\u2019autres plats \u00e0 base de nouille, \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re du magasin de mes parents.
